LO*OP Center, Inc.

Serving Recovers communities:

Educational nonprofit umbrella for projects approved by Board of Directors.

Currently (Nov. 9, 2018) providing general logistical support to coordinate other organizations that provide direct services for CampFireButte.recovers.org

Continuing with Sonoma County fire long term recovery and future disaster preparedness.

As of Nov 12, 2018, focusing on:

1) Administering the sonomacounty.recovers.org and campfirebutte.recovers.org website

2) serving on the R.O.C. Sonoma County Volunteer Committee (local long term community response)

3) supporting the 211Sonoma Information and Referral hot line and web site

We need

  1. volunteers who already know how to post, edit and match on recovers.org to be liaisons with agencies in Chico and the Camp Fire area. Please note this when you register as a volunteer and contact the agency you would like to help directly.

  2. new volunteers who can match requests (I have a NEED) with donations on campfirebutte.recovers.org (work on your computer from home or work)

  3. administrative assistants who can verify availability of resources and update lists, websites and social media

  4. writers to craft users' guides and press releases

  5. grant writers to work with Executive Director to secure funds for this and other organizations

  6. researchers to locate sources of funds and other resources 6. trainers to run workshops or provide telephone assistance to fire survivors on how to apply for aide

We could use approximately 20 remote volunteers to work online and 20 energetic local community members to work on the ground in Paradise, Chico and affected areas.
