Legal Aid's mission is to promote social justice and advance basic human rights for vulnerable people in our community. Legal Aid of Sonoma County has provided services to Sonoma County’s indigent population for over 50 years. Founded in 1958 and incorporated in 1983 as a private non profit, Legal Aid provides crisis legal services to low-income families and children.
Legal Aid operates five primary programs: SAFE (services for domestic violence victims), C.A.P.P. (services for child abuse and neglect victims), HOME (habitability and eviction services), ELDER (services for seniors) and a Legal Services Referral Program (LSRP). Legal Aid assists with a range of crisis needs, all Legal Aid services are offered in English and Spanish.
